This was a winter portrait session shot at the end of November, just after the first real snow of the season. We started around the Old port and worked our way through the quieter side streets, using the snow and the soft grey light as a natural backdrop. My client wanted portraits that felt warm despite the cold, something she could use for both personal keepsakes and her online profiles. We kept the pace slow, warmed up in a café halfway through, and let the conditions shape the mood of the photos. The result is a set of calm, wintery portraits that feel very much like Montréal in early winter. If you are thinking about a seasonal session, this is a good example of what a couple of hours outside can give you.
