This lifestyle session followed two close friends through the Old Port of Montréal on a warm summer afternoon. They wanted photos that captured their friendship the way it actually feels, so we skipped formal posing and simply walked, talked and let things happen. We photographed along the waterfront, on the cobblestone streets and sitting on the ground laughing between locations. The soft evening light did most of the work. Sessions like this are a nice alternative to classic portraits, since the images are about a relationship rather than a single person. The two of them left with a gallery that feels like a record of a good day together. If you and a friend want something similar, the Old Port is a great place to start.
